As part of the Kochsternstunden, we invite you to a special evening dedicated to the truffle – regional, sensual, and full of stories.
Our guests are “The Truffle Hunters” from Eilenburg, who will provide a rare look behind the scenes of truffle hunting. Guests will learn how local truffles – especially from Saxony – are found, the role that specially trained truffle dogs play, and why patience, experience, and respect for nature are crucial. Exciting anecdotes from the field, insights into truffle dog training, and personal stories bring the subject to life.
The evening will be co-hosted by head chef and managing director Olaf Kranz. The culinary highlight is our Kochsternstunden menu “Surf & Bird,” where you will enjoy Saxon truffles—also available as a vegetarian option upon request. We look forward to your reservation by phone or email.
